The programme, which lasts four to five months, includes journalism courses at a major university in a large US city. Participants also visit local media outlets and participate in lectures and seminars. It is open to journalists from Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Central America and South America. Applicants must be working journalists with at least two years of experience, but not more than ten, and have proficiency in written and spoken English.
