CJFE UNVEILS REVAMPED WEBSITE
Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) has launched a redesigned version of its Web site. The site, which will continue to be located at
www.cjfe.org, is now bilingual (English and French) and contains easily accessible information about the various initiatives of CJFE, including the International Press Freedom Awards, the Journalists in Distress Fund, management of the International Freedom of Expression eXchange (IFEX) Clearing House and international media training projects. An archive of media releases, protest letters and the CJFE Reporter newsletter is also housed on the site.
CJFE is also pleased to devote a section of the Web site to a group composed of foreign journalists living in Canada. Called Journalists in Exile, these individuals had to flee various forms of harassment or intimidation in their native country simply because of their media work. They have brought with them a wealth of experience and interests, and are eager to resume journalistic duties in their adopted homeland.
