ARTICLE 19 TO SPEAK AT DEBATE ON MEDIA AND TERRORISM


Article 19 will be one of the featured speakers at a 3 May debate on Journalism and Terrorism organised by the UNESCO UK National Commission. Held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Portcullis House, London, the debate will cover topics ranging from pressures facing journalists who report on terrorism to media safety and press freedom. The Head of Article 19's Law Programme, Toby Mendel, is one of the debate's speakers. Human Rights Watch, Index on Censorship, the International Press Institute and Reporters sans frontières are among the groups helping to organise the event.
