ROBERT F. KENNEDY HUMAN RIGHTS AWARD

The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights invites nominations for the 2004 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award, which honours individuals engaged in nonviolent efforts to promote and defend human rights.

Human rights organisations are encouraged to nominate individuals who are working strategically and effectively to address serious human rights problems in their countries. Individuals from anywhere in the world are eligible for the award and any number of nominations may be submitted by an organisation.

Nominees should have an established reputation for integrity, creativity and commitment to human rights principles. They should also be associated with a respected non-governmental organisation that has made major contributions to social change.

Nomination forms are available online at: http://www.rfkmemorial.org

The deadline for submitting nominations is 15 April 2004.

For more information, contact Amanda Shanor by e-mail (shanor@rfkmemorial.org) or telephone (+1 202 463 7575 ext. 224).
