APC HAFKIN PRIZE


The Association for Progressive Communications (APC) is inviting African organisations to apply for the 2005 APC Hafkin Prize. This year, the Prize honours grassroots initiatives that use the Internet to bring positive economic benefits to communities.

The prize will be awarded to three organisations or individuals who will share a cash prize of US$7,500. The competition is open to civil society organisations, government institutions, educational organisations, community-based groups, networks, social movements and individuals in Africa. Applications will be accepted in both English and French.
