RORY PECK AWARDS

The Rory Peck Trust invites freelance camera operators working in news and current affairs to submit entries for the 2005 Rory Peck Awards. There are four awards recognising excellence in humanitarian footage, hard news coverage, feature-length storytelling and contributions to the work of freelance camera operators.

Applicants must submit entries that were aired between 1 August 2004 and 31 July 2005.

The deadline for submitting entries is 2 September 2005.

Established in 1995, the Rory Peck Trust is a registered charity that provides safety training for freelance camera operators, financial aid to individuals in need, and moral support to the families of freelancers killed, imprisoned or seriously injured during the course of their work.

The trust is named after the former camera operator who was killed while covering the October coup in Moscow, Russia, in 1991.
