ICIJ AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING INTERNATIONAL INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING
The ICIJ Award for Outstanding International Investigative Reporting honours excellence in transnational investigative journalism. It is administered by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), a project of the U.S.-based Center for Public Integrity.
There are two prizes, each worth US$10,000, which are awarded to a U.S.-based reporter or news organisation, and a non U.S.-based reporter or news organisation. There are also awards for five finalists, each of whom receive US$1,000.
Any professional journalist or team of journalists of any nationality is eligible to submit an individual investigative piece of work, or single-subject series, on a transnational topic of world significance.
Works produced in print, broadcast, and online media are eligible; books are not eligible. In the case of a team of journalists, the first name listed on the application shall be deemed to be the designated representative of the team.
Work must have been first published or broadcast in general information media between 1 January 2006 and 31 December 2006, and must involve reporting in at least two countries.
All entries must be postmarked no later than 15 February 2007.
