IPA SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR FREEDOM TO PUBLISH AWARD


The International Publishers' Association (IPA) invites publishers and non-governmental organisations working in defence of free expression to nominate candidates for the 2007 IPA Freedom to Publish Award.

The annual award honours a person or organisation anywhere in the world that has made an important contribution to the defence and promotion of the right to freely publish.

The winner of the award receives a cheque for CHF 5,000 (US$4,150). The 2007 prize will be presented at the Cape Town Book Fair in June 2007.

Nominations should be submitted no later than 13 April 2007. Nomination forms can be downloaded from IPA's website: http://www.ipa-uie.org
