IAPA AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN JOURNALISM


The Inter American Press Association (IAPA) invites media organisations in the Americas to submit entries for the 2007 IAPA Awards for Excellence in Journalism.

The competition is open to news articles published in 2006 in a newspaper, magazine, or online publication in any of the following languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese.

There are 11 award categories:
Inter-American Relations; Human Rights; News Coverage; Features; In-Depth Reporting; Photography; Cartoons; Infographics; Opinion; Newspaper in Education, and Best Online News Coverage.
Winners will be chosen in March 2007 and presented with their awards at IAPA's General Assembly in Miami, U.S.A. in October.

Entries will be accepted no later than 1 February 2007.
