INDEX ON CENSORSHIP SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR FREE EXPRESSION AWARDS


Index on Censorship is accepting nominations for the 2007 Index on Censorship Freedom of Expression Awards, which honour individuals and organisations that have made a significant contribution to freedom of expression and the right to freedom of information.

There are five awards: The Index / Hugo Young Journalism Award; The Bindmans' Law and Campaigns Award; The Index Whistleblower Award; The Index Film Award; and The Index Book Award.

For the film and book awards, nominees need to have been released or published in the United Kingdom after January 2006 in order to qualify.
