WAN TO HOLD CONGRESS IN SOUTH AFRICA


The World Association of Newspapers (WAN) will be holding its 60th World Newspaper Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3 to 6 June 2007, where more than 1,500 publishers, chief editors and other senior newspaper executives will meet to discuss the most pressing issues facing the newspaper industry today.

The programme includes the Annual Press Freedom Round Table, which will examine press freedom and its relationship to good governance and development in Africa.
