MISA'S 2007 PRESS FREEDOM AWARD

Do you know of a southern African journalist or media organisation who upholds the ethics of the profession at all costs, relentlessly pursues the truth behind the bare facts, and whose work promotes media freedom in the region? Then the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) and Southern Africa Trust would like you to send in a nomination for their 2007 Press Freedom Award.

The award of US$2,500 honours excellence in journalism through reportage or other ways, such as media reform, lobbying or training.

Nominations accompanied by a letter stating how the nominee meets the criteria, the nominee's CV, and where possible, a sample of work, should be sent to the MISA Secretariat by 30 July 2007.
