TAKE ACTION! COLOMBIA: IAPA URGES RE-OPENING OF MURDER CASE

The Inter American Press Association (IAPA) invites free expression supporters to write letters to the Colombian government calling for the re-opening of an investigation into the murder of journalist Mario Prada Díaz.

Prada Díaz was murdered in Sabana Torres, Santander province, on 12 July 2002 after exposing municipal corruption. He was the editor of the weekly "Horizonte Sabanero". One year after his death, Colombia's Attorney General's Office ended its investigation into the crime, saying that it was not possible to identify the guilty party.
