(JED/IFEX) - 19 December 2011 - Senghor Fundi, Shabani bin Shabani, Augustin Mateso, and Moïse Mateso, director and journalists at Radio Communautaire Tujenge Kabambare (RCTK), respectively, were released after being arrested on 14 December. The radio remains shuttered, having been taken off the air nearly a month ago. JED continues to demand that it be allowed to broadcast.

While the three journalists were released the same day, with no charges, Fundi was released the following day. He was asked to also provide all documents pertaining to the radio station to the security office in the area.
