On 29 December 2009, French journalists Stéphane Taponier and Hervé Ghesquière were kidnapped in Afghanistan as they were trying to report on the conflict. May 13 marks 500 days of captivity. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) wants you to show your support for their freedom by ensuring their faces are not forgotten: use your profile picture on Facebook to help build a virtual mosaic of Taponier and Ghesquière.

To participate, ensure you are logged into your Facebook account. Click on the link to Facebook from here, which will automatically save your profile picture in the mosaic. It takes about 30 minutes for your picture to appear.
