HANDBOOK PROFILES MEDIA AND PRESS FREEDOM IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE
The South East Europe Media Organization (SEEMO), an affiliate of the International Press Institute( IPI), has recently published the third edition of its annual Media Handbook, which provides a useful overview of the state of media and press freedom in the region.
The 2005/2006 edition contains up-to-date reports on the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro (including Kosovo), Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.
Each chapter covers media laws and regulations in each country, press freedom violations recorded in 2005 and a list of media in the region.
