The journalists and human rights activists, on duty covering the scuffle between the YCL and locals, were threatened in Lamgunj.

Correspondents Milan Sharma Danai of Avenues Television, Asha Gurung "Prateek" of Sagarmatha Television and Ujyalo Network, and "Lamjung Mirror" editor Anajan Kumar Himali, as well as human rights activist and INSEC (Human Rights) representative of Lamgunj, Krisha Prasad Adhikari, were threatened by the YCL activists. Danai, Prateek and Adhikari are also regional coordinators of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).

The FNJ has condemned the acts of the YCL. The FNJ has also demanded that the political parties act responsibly and has urged them to allow the journalists and media persons to carry out their work without any fear.
