Media organisations submit "reform agenda" to presidential candidates


(FMM/IFEX) - Eight organisations, including FMM, presented an agenda of reform for media freedom to the candidates participating in the 2010 presidential election. The declaration signed by the organisations includes core values and a summary of the history of media law reform in Sri Lanka. It also calls on all presidential candidates to declare their strong and unequivocal commitment to protect freedom of expression and information in the country.
