TJA MARKS 50 YEARS WITH PRESS FAIR


The Thai Journalists Association (TJA) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year by holding the largest ever press fair involving print and broadcast journalists in the country.

"Thailand Press Fair 2004" will be held 2-6 September 2004 at the Trade Exhibition Center, Maung Thong Thani , in Bangkok. The exhibit aims to educate the public about the history of Thailand's press and the state of the present-day media industry, including its use of state of the art information technologies. The goal is to promote greater understanding between the media and the public.

The event will feature media display booths and mock-up popular TV game and talk shows, as well as meetings with well-known TV personalities. Also on display will be examples of award-winning news reports and pictures.
