Detained journalist on hunger strike in Egypt in grave need of medical attention

Abdullah Al-Shamy, an Al-Jazeera reporter who has been held since 14 August 2013, has been on hunger strike for more than three and a half months. According to the physician who reviewed Al-Shamy's medical tests, the journalist "could die within a few days."
