IRFS press freedom report for first six months of 2011

(IRFS/IFEX) - The first 6 months of 2011 were marred by restrictions on the professional operation of independent mass media. There were numerous provocations, persecutions, physical and psychological harassment and lawsuits against journalists.

His release came almost a year after the European Court of Human Rights declared his innocence and demanded his immediate release.
