At least 27 journalists who covered rallies on 28 October in Bangladesh were attacked by supporters of the main opposition party, members of the ruling party, and police forces.
IFEX joined several groups in urging Bangladeshi authorities to stop the harassment of journalist Adhora Yeasmean and other members of the media who are facing prosecution under the repressive Digital Security Act.
Four journalists are facing up to 15 years in prison on police charges of taking part in a protest that turned violent on 15 August.
