Help IFEX mark 2 November by saying 'No' to Impunity

2 November marks the United Nations International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists. Currently, 9 out of 10 cases of journalist killings go unsolved and unpunished. This leads to a culture of impunity where critical voices are silenced and citizens are denied accurate information about the societies in which they live.

The International Day to End Impunity is a crucial moment for raising global awareness about the impact of impunity on freedom of expression and for mobilizing action towards justice.

IFEX's “No Impunity” campaign reflects our ongoing effort to increase the political will of States to end impunity – not just for crimes against journalists – but of artists, activists, bloggers, and others exercising their right to speak out.

We need your help to send the message that crimes against free expression must have consequences, and that States must be held accountable when these crimes occur within their borders.

Together, let's work together towards a world with 'No Impunity.' Help us spread the word by:

  • Using the hashtag #NoImpunity
  • Changing your social media profile picture to the new No Impunity logo
  • sharing stories in the fight against impunity for journalists in Pakistan, Colombia and The Gambia
  • Check out and promote our website ifex.org/noimpunity

On this day, demand accountability. Our right to freedom of expression and information depends on it!
